Pressure behind eye
« on: November 06, 2007, 09:24:32 am »
Anyone feel pressure behind the eye on the operated side?  I've got this weird pressure thing, it feels like my right eye wants to pop out!  It's not my sinuses, I just had them fixed 3 weeks ago, and the pressure level is the same as prior to surgery unfortunately.

I had that feeling when I was post-op, but the feeling had faded.  I assumed that it was because the facial nerve was swollen, and the muscles controlling that side of the face were confused.  I'm 6 months post-op now, and the feeling has faded, although it comes back once in awhile.

I have the feeling most of the time.  It intensifies when I have a headache.  When I close my eye you and place my finger over my eye I can feel my eye throbbing.  The pain just shoots behind my eye and some times it is blinding.  It must have something to do with the facial nerve.  I have a facial neuroma.  When the pain is dull it is a pressure like sensation.  At times when the pain is really bad my eye droops.
