StaceyJM

I had surgery on 10/25/07.  I am 31 and in pretty good shape.  I had the middle fossa approach done.  I vomited all day after surgery and the following day.  I didn't have much pain but I developed a leak and when they opened the lumbar drain is when I had bad headaches.  The worst pain I had ever been in for about 2 days.  I was in the hospital for a total of 8 days and felt pretty good by the time I went home.  I was back on the tread mill walking 1 week after surgery and running about 2 weeks after surgery.  I played hockey last night for the first time.  I was actually back at work part time 2 1/2 weeks after surgery.  From what I have read on the website I am one of the lucky ones and I hope you are too.  Good Luck and keep in touch.

Stacey I just wanted to say I am thinking of you and hoping you had a very successful surgery.  Kisses to your forehead.  :-* 16
I believe you are given choices in life and it is not what has happened to you that defines who you are.  It is how you handle the situation and finding the positive in an almost hopeless situation that counts the most.  My son is my hero and I have had the pleasure of learning this from him.
