New device - occipital nerve stimulation

Hi,

Here is an article on a new device that stimulates occipital nerve and thus gets rid of a headache. The occipital nerve is often directly affected by AN surgery. I wonder if this device would work for any of us with chronic pain.

The doctor that did my occipital block offered that I be in a study using a nerve stimulator. I decided to have occipital nerve release and scar revision surgery instead, knowing that if the surgery didn't work, I still had another option. The stimulator study was free of charge and might be a good solution for some that were sick of taking medication.

Thanks for sharing this, jerseygirl.  I know at least one person who has a nerve stimulator for intractable pain of another kind.  This is certainly something I would be interested in investigating.
