hemihypertrophy in child(ren)?
« on: April 14, 2008, 11:03:35 am »
Hi -I had surgery and GK in the summer of 2006 for a left-sided AN and cyst.   My 22 month old son recently  has been diagnosed with hemihypertrophy (one side of the body growing faster than the other - his is mild, and mostly affects his leg/foot) and I have been told (by my son's pediatrician) that it is sometimes related to NF2.  Never has it been mentioned that I have any signs of NF2, but I'm curious as to any NF2ers' experiences with hemihypertrophy.

Thanks in advance!
