PROBLEM WITH EYE AND GOLD WEIGHT

Hi, i have had my gold weight 14 months now, over the past week my eye has been looking swollen and red on the lid and red round the eye, sometimes it looks red inside the eye, the local eye hosp couldnt find anything wrong, i am going to try and get seen next week by the neuro eye clinic, has anyone else had this prob, and do you think the gold weight would cause prob after all this time. many thanks ps if anyone had the same probs what was the treatment.

Hi Jazz:    I had a gold weight put in & my upper lid remained red & a bit swollen the whole time.  After 9 months the doc removed it - I had an allergic reaction to the gold.    I just had a platinum weight put in & no redness.
Your situation is different in that after 14 months you have redness.   I'm wondering if you've maybe developed an allergic reaction to the gold ?

An oculoplastic surgeon diagnosed the allergy & put in the platinum weight.

Hi nancy, i took a antihistamine last night and it cleared my eye up, so i think i have a allergy to the gold weight, strange why this would happen 14 months done the line.
