growth after GK or CK

I have a question? How many on this forum, do you know of that have had growth after radiation and had to have surgery?

I believe there are several on this forum.

The one who comes immediately to mind, since she just had her surgery a few days ago, is Kathleen5306.

I think zjane is another one.  I know she had surgery with Dr. Wiet (Chicago area) about a year ago and from what I recall, it was after FSR in NYC in approximately 2005.  Jane doesn't post too often, but she generally responds to PMs if you want to contact her.

Jan beat me to this one as I was going to also mention Kathleen5306.... she had CK (I believe) back in 2002... and this past week, had surgery at HEI for her AN since there was some growth years later.  I am only aware of approx 5-6 CK failures that 2 went to surgical (to my knowledge)..... their outcomes, unsure (Kathleen's updates here by her friend seem to show, thus far, she is doing fine).

As for GK, I don't have those numbers.....

As to my understanding that the failure rate is low. I do wish all the radiation centers would put some sort of data together so people would have better numbers. I do however understand with radiation or surgery there is no guarentee either way...I wish there were. I had CK done last January and I do hope that it did its job.....
