Pain after ENG test?
« on: August 29, 2008, 07:23:45 pm »
I had an ENG test yesterday and since then I have been having pain in my left ear (tumor side). They ended up having to use ice cold water in the test because I wasn't having any reaction in that ear from the cool/warm water. The cold water was very painful, and I'm wondering if this is a normal side effect from that. Anyone have any experience?

I'm not very familar with an ENG test, but from what I have read it shouldn't cause pain (maybe for a few hours afterwards, but not as long as you say).  Have you talked to the doctor about the pain and/or results from the test?  I definitely would seek advice from your Dr on this one.  I really feel for you having to go through the pain.  I'm really sorry about it.  Perhaps it will subside soon.  I hope so anyhow.
