Hi Jill
I really don't think there is anything consistent.  I was fine after surgery.  A year later I am still on the disabled list.  The only thing I can say is that you feel dopey and say stupid things.  One thing I think most people will agree on, there is little or no pain associated with the incision.  But watch out for the eye.  If you have any AN side paralysis, your eye will be affected.  You'll need constant lubrication to ease the dryness.  Other than that, your taste may be screwed up -- but it won't mean anything cuz you're eating hosptial food.

Best wishes.  Did you log your surgery on the calendar?  It's below in my signature line.
