I'm back - 14 mo post CK
« on: March 19, 2009, 07:04:12 pm »
I can't believe it's been so long since I've been on here.  Over the past few months, I've been dealing with illness of a family member.  But last week I realized that finally after all the time that has passed since diagnosis and then treatment, I go long periods of time without really thinking about the AN.  Occasionally, the tinnitis is worse and I believe there are more issues with directional hearing.  Life is good.  Next MRI will be in July.

It's really only been a couple of months, Sandra. No problem. I like it when members go off and live regular life for a while. In the end, that is what it is all about. Glad to hear that you are having those periods where you just don't think about it anymore - that is the true sign of healing. Life is good.

Right side is weak too. Life is quiet.

Hi, Sandra ~

As Steve indicated, it's only been a few months since you last posted - but I'm glad you're 'back', too.  In my opinion, if you can "go long periods without really thinking about the AN", you're fine.

My post-AN life is good and I'm delighted to learn that yours is, too.  :)

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Hi Sandra,

Encouraging news.  I have been so caught up getting over a sinus infection for the past couple of months that I had put the AN stuff on the back burner.  I had sinus surgery last week so I am on the mend now.  Hopefully my AN is history from here on out.  So far so good, but we do have the waiting game, I guess.  Congrats on your positive progress.
