Wheww, what a relief! No brain surgery or gamma knife!
Though I am sure you are still anxious about what is causing your symptoms. Keep those doctors hopping. (I'm hoping you have some type of insurance for all these appointments. )
Let us know the outcome.

Right mid fossa 11-01-01
  left tumor found 5-03,so have NF2
  trans lab for right facial nerve tumor
  with nerve graft 3-23-06
   CSF leak revision surgery 4-07-06
   left mid fossa 4-17-08
   near deaf on left before surgery
   with hearing much improved .
    Univ of Iowa for all care

Yeah, I have insurance, but it's not the best.  I know all of this is going to cost me a pretty penny, but my health is worth it!! I say that now, I'll let you know what I say when I get the bill!! :o  ................................

I'm very glad to hear that you are in the clear. What a relief.
I am sorry though, that you now are searching for another explanation. Hearing loss can be one of those unexplainable things ???

Only 1 out of 1000 with unilateral hearing loss actually has an AN.
