Public Health System
« on: April 02, 2009, 03:00:35 pm »
Well I managed to get thru the pre op test. But unlike Anissa's updates to her hubby, I wa told that there are no updates during surgery.  Half hour after surgery is complete, nurse will call my contact person (my sister in this case) and update her then.  It is due to the amalgamation of Ottawa's hospital...It seems so unfair to make love ones wait and wonder what is happening til its over...Oh well, c'est la vie

Jo ~

I'm sorry for the lack of updates available in Ottawa's hospital but don't get me started on the negatives associated with 'nationalized' heath care.  'That's life' is an apt phrase in this instance.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.
