I keep my ANA forum open while I'm painting off the image on my 'puter screen and YES--it is hard to get any work done.  My keyboard has paint all over it from posting with paint on my hands!  I got no boss to keep me in line!  Will you keep me in line?  My Hero!!!
Being post-op with complications, I really can relate to your stuggle! Taking each day as it comes is what I do and sound like you do the same.  (Oh by the way, I'm moving in with you and Batty Junior as soon as it gets cold up here next winter.)
