The week ahead....UPDATE
« on: May 04, 2009, 07:04:43 am »
So my stomach is in knots as I write this!  Tomorrow I have a hearing test to see what is going on with my "good" ear.  I've had some issues with it since my surgery.  Thursday is my post surgery 3 month MRI.  I'm meeting with the surgeon right after to get the results.  Yikes!  I need to put this chapter of my life to rest once and for all!

Hi Jen,
I can't believe we're at three months. I don't have a follow up until 1 year. I hope all goes well - I'm glad you can get both appts over with tomorrow and hope you find out everything soon and it's all good. Like Kay, I'll pray for peace for you too.
Take care,
Keri

Keri ~

My best to you as you deal with this situation.  May you have a good report on your 'working' ear and, of course, a perfectly normal MRI.  :)

First hurdle done!

My hearing test revealed the following:

Good ear in normal limits - great news for me considering I've been having some issues with it since my surgery.  They said two frequencies were on the low end of normal but still considered normal ( could be muffled from cold, allergies, etc).

AN ear - profound hearing loss.  Although I was hearing some low frequencies when the volume was high!  Humm, that strange I could hear things in that ear!  Considering I had Translab I didn't think that was possible.

Next hurdle on Thursday with my MRI and results.

Everyone thank you for your good thoughts and prayers please keep them coming ;)

Jen

I desperately try to keep up with everyone and what is going on. I'm sorry I am late on this one. I'm thrilled that the hearing test went ok. :)  Keeping fingers crossed for the MRI this week and let's keep you well! :)  I know the To'G (Tube o' Gloom ie: MRI) isn't fun, but..... I have faith.

Hang in there! Will look for further updates.

Jennifer ~

Thanks for the update, which is mostly positive.  I'm happy to see that.  :)  The MRI is a chore and everyone has some level of anxiety as they approach it, but, as you know, many are praying for you.  I look forward to another positive (no problems) post following your MRI on Thursday.  Stay strong.  :)
