Avatar AMAZING!

One real good thing about a nor'easter dumping 18" of snow last night and this morning. My wife and i had a private showing of Avatar today, only ones in the theatre. One word "AMAZING". The story line is Ok and predictable at times, still fun though, but the characters are great and the effects stunning. 3D is very well done, by far the best I've ever seen and adds tremendously to the visual effect. I'm a long time sci fi fan and I can see where they borrowed from some of my favorites books. Alan Dean Foster's "Midworld" in particular.
My wife, who is not a sci fi fan really enjoyed it and wants to go see it a 2nd time...that says it all...she usually groans and goes and reads when i put on a sci fi flick. Do yourself a favor and go see it. I can't wait to go see it again.
