Wow!  Great article!

Thanks for sharing it.

Now I'm more thankful than ever that I got off the couch and got back to exercising!

Susan ~

Good information regarding the relation of physical exercise to cognitive function.  I do little formal exercise but I'm physically active for a few hours every day (washing the car by hand, etc)  and lately, I'm using the stationary bike I got down from the attic for my wife, who is re-starting a previously abandoned/neglected weight loss regimen.  I don't pedal furiously and only for about 15 minutes a day but I figure 'it can't hurt'.  The information in the article convinces me that keeping active, as my father did, into his 80's (he died at age 92) is the only way to go for a host of reasons, not the least being the ability to maintain my cognitive abilities, which I 'm quite fond of and would surely miss.  ;)

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Thanks for the link.  Great article.  I have been trying to exercise at least a littlle.  I have to agree that exercise does work.  My Dad lives with me and as he has slowed down his mental status has faded.  I need to make more time for me!
