Hi to ALL my AN Friends --
I was diagnosed with a 2.7cm Acoustic Neuroma last March. I did alot of research about it and with the help of all the wonderful people on this site, I came to the decision of having FSR. I started treatments last June --- had 30 treatments. There were days that I was very tired, had some hair loss and my head felt full at times.
I had a hearing test yesterday that told me that my hearing wasn't harmed from the Radiation treatments. My MRI report told us that my tumor had slightly decreased. How happy am I?? I am a very happy and lucky person to have taken this journey feeling the way I do. I have to go back next July, which will be 1 year after my treatments and have another MRI. My Dr expects to see less of the tumor --- I hope he is right. He said that they are slow to grow and slow to shrink.
I thank all of you here for all the support given to me during these last hard months. You were all right --- the hardest thing is to decide on the treatment. To all of you that are going thru this right now --- I wish you well and if I can help in any way --- feel free to write to me.
