Need pain clinic in Chicago area
« on: December 23, 2010, 07:45:10 pm »
Hi,
Can anyone recommend a pain clinic that could help with my constant headaches/migraines in the Chicago area?

I think my current DR has given up on me.
I tried nerve blocks again and they didn't work....only made my headaches worse.

Need help...

thanks.

I have been researching prolotherapy for my sacroiliac problems and came upon this clinic in Chicago that also offers prolotherapy for migraine, particularly migraine caused by neck sprain from surgical position, which is, I truly believe, what most of us suffer from.

Worth looking into.I have decided on prolotherapy for my back and I may try this also for my headaches.

I replied to this topic after Phyl said it was safe to, but somehow the post got lost.

Anyway, there was a reply from Kevin (user name amplified2000 - I believe).  He mentioned a doctor he was seeing in Naperville for headaches, but I believe he said he was looking for a new headache doc.

I checked in with my neurotologist about headache docs he might know of in the Chicago area and here is what he told me ""I do not know of a specific physician for headaches, although I have heard good things about the Diamond Headache Clinic (1460 North Halsted Street Chicago, IL 60642 (773) 549-5140)"

I gave this information to K2 in a PM, but thought I'd post it on the open Forum for others, like Kevin, who might find it helpful.
