Superbowl ... Go Green Bay!
« on: February 04, 2011, 07:17:01 pm »
Just thought I'd stir up some excitement for the Big Game....   actually watching the commercials is more fun.... plus having one or two adult beverages....

OK ... I will cheer for Green Bay ...

I watch a few games a year , really don't cheer for any one ... but watch the Superbowl because it
is some kind of required subject around here ...commercials are best part ... or seeing all those
tight ends   ;D
(that is my Mom's line and reason for watching  )

Hi!

Soundy - i like your mom's reasons for watching!  ;D

I am originally from PA but used to follow the Eagles, not Pittsburgh...
So will probably cheer for Green Bay with our friends from Wisconsin.
I like a good game, not lopsided...keep it interesting so i don't fall asleep!
One thing for sure - i don't know how to make fried cheese (i think that is what they call it in Wisconsin!) so i hope my friends like chicken chili and maybe hot crab dip.

Have fun watching, everyone!

Sue

And a question for all - what do people do the MOST during the Super Bowl?  Hint, the answer is NOT eat too much food!

Am rooting for the STEELERS myself.

Any team that beat the Bears twice this year IMO shouldn't win the Super Bowl.

Yes, I'm a sore loser!   ;D

sue - drink too much beer?

jan - i was born in chicago but only lived there as a baby. my dad's side of the family are all bear/cubs etc fans.

i was pulling for GB because, as a life long cowboy fan (grew up in TX), the steelers have ruined my little football life too many times back in the old days. plus i'm just sick of seeing them win... and i'm hoping that with more hoopla over aaron rogers, people will quit talking so much about brett farvre. the packers had an exciting season.

it was a great game!

Born in Texas and raised every where as an army brat ...  first real exposure to football was when we lived in El Paso while Daddy was in Korea ...it  was at hands of my cousins and uncles who are rabid football fans  ... you HAD ( no ifs ands or buts )  to be for Dallas Cowboys and in college football Texas A&M ... one cousin went on to play for A&M back in the mid 70s ...seeing  Roger Staubach bring the trophy in , all I could think was he  sure has aged ... I guess that is what 30 years or so since he was playing does ...

Being a life long Packer fan I was elated with a 4th Super Bowl win. My daughter lives in De Pere which is a suburb of Green Bay and one of her neighbors is the team doctor. Now I can't wait for training camp to start, to watch a practice and visit the hall of fame so I can see the new trophy.
