Shalom Inna and welcome. Your English is fine and I understand everything you say.

Since your tumor is still considered "small" by AN standards, you do have many options. I am not all familiar with what is available but I do know that certain forms of radio-surgery (no, not surgery where doctor cuts, but radiation kills the tumor) available. Then, you can also have operation to remove the tumor as well. I think it is a personal decision of which type you decide that you want.  For me, there are 2 questions to ask yourself.

1.  Do I want the tumor out of my head by operation?
2.  Do I want to try non-invasive procedure to kill it before I try operation?

Both forms of treatment come with risks, so you have to decide which of these 2 questions is how you answer best for you.  Then, we can narrow down what kind of treatment can help.

Let me do a little web research to see what is available in Israel... or are you willing to travel to Europe for treatment?

We are here for you... this site is fantastic support!  We welcome you!

Hi Inna,
I live in Israel too. I have a 2.5 cm AN and after doing months of reasearch for treatment options I decided to have my FSR in the US. The main reason is that the doctor that Russ refers to, along with another doctor at the Hadassa do not have solid experience with FSR treatment. Even though they are very reluctant to provide any experience information (wonder why...?), they indicate that the treatment itself is available for no more than 3 or 4 years. Also, when I consulted in the Hadassa and had my first attempt to book some tentative dates for treatment they were not even sure how many dosages they would give me (actually they changed it twice).
Since I didn't want to become a statistical sample in their on going data collection process for treatment validation I decided to go for FSR in the states. This particular doctor has hundreds of AN cases treated with Hypo FSR with a very high success rate. Of course this doesn't mean that success is secure for everyone but from the scientific standpoint, the treatment system and methodology has been proved for more than 12 years.
If you need further information, let me know.
