3 1/2 Month MRI
« on: March 05, 2011, 02:21:27 pm »
Hi everyone!  I've been back to school since the day after Martin Luther King's birthday.  Things have gone well.  I was pretty tired the first week, but not completely washed-out as I thought I would be.  I tend to get about as tired most of the time as I did before the surgery--with teaching Kindergarten!   :D  But with being back at school and the life of a teacher, I'm finding it hard to find time to be on the forum.  :'(  It's been over a week that I have been able to check in here.  I hope to be able to find more time.  Anyway, I'm posting today because I had my 3 1/2 month MRI on Thursday.  I will see Dr. Chen in Pittsburgh this coming Wednesday.  I did bring home a CD of the MRI for me, but not being a radiologist, I can not tell too much about it.  I did see some white spots that I hope have nothing to do with AN. I stll do not have tears in the AN eye, but everything else seem to be doing well.  The kinders have gotten used to me needing to put in drops somethimes.  My scar is disappearing nicely, but sometimes it hurts or itches.  Sometimes my glasses bother it.  I have read on here that others have had this problem.  I don't have trouble sleeping on that side and I just try to ignore when it does hurt.  I'll let you all know how my appointment goes on Wednesday.

Sandy ~

What a splendid update!  Thanks for sharing your good news - and continue to post when your time allows.  We'll be here.  :)

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Sandy .....

So glad things are continuing on an upward path for you.  Let us know what Dr. Chen has to say about this first post-op MRI ..... I'm sure it will probably be fine since you had translab.

I'm going to send you a PM, so watch for it.
