Iv'e had my scan appointment
« on: April 18, 2016, 06:30:56 am »
Hi
I'm not sure if I have AN as of yet and to be honest didn't know what it was until this morning.

Just to fill you in on my history and maybe you can help on here.

I  have had mild tinnitus in my left ear for around 15 years.
Last year (Sept time) I had a headache continuously for 5 weeks then one day I woke up, no headache but felt intoxicated (similar to vertigo but not quite) This lasted till December although it has never quite gone completely.
I Have sporadic boughts of spasms in my left jaw and bite my cheeks quite badly sometimes, my jaw also locks.
I was diagnosed with Holmes Aidee (HAS) syndrome around 3 years ago.
I have been seeing neurospecialists for this as I also have strange and frequent 'de ja vu' up to 17 times a day (these can be quite upsetting as they involve not just visual but emotional sensations) and at times am quite confused, no diagnosis as yet.
The tinnitus has got considerably worse since December, so much that my GP sent me to ENT casualty where they carried out extensive tests, removed quite a lot of wax, did a hearing test and arranged for me to return in around six months.
My headache has returned and it is there all the time.

Today I received a letter to go for an auditory meautus scan, this was unexpected as the guy at ENT never mentioned this but am relieved that something is being done.

Are my symptoms classic of AN, does anyone else connect with them?
