Tinnitus is a problem in your brain, not in your ear. I am SSD from translab, but still have tinnitus in that ear. It just sounds like it is in your ear, but it is not. When you dream, I am sure you SEE your dreams. Mine are in color, just like I am seeing something with my eyes. But my eyes are closed, because I am asleep. It is my BRAIN that creates these visions...but they look real. Tinnitus is a sound that is created by your brain, and your ears do not hear the noise. Plug your ears...you will still hear it. Your brain hears the noises just like it sees your dreams. Surgery or radiation may impact your tinnitus. It is believed that a feed-back system in your ear is faulty, and this fault starts your brain making those noises. It is an awful problem. Mine has gotten worse since my surgery, but I just live with it, because that is one of the cards I got.
