Best of luck to you today!  :)

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Everybody,

It went well but it leaves me with more questions as to treatment which I will ask at the NYC meeting this Saturday at NYU and on Wednesday with Dr.Kondziolka and Dr. Flickinger in Pittsburgh at UPMC.

I'm going to really sleep more soundly in a few days! I'm so excited! I am wondering if it makes any difference in terms of treatment whether I get treated now or in 3 months.

Mike,

How did you come to choose these doctors? I am currently looking for any imformation I can find. I am deaf in left ear and a AN in my right. I am leaning towards cyberknife for everything I have read it gives a better chance of retaining your hearing.

Thanks, Bill

Ashman,

If you are going with Gamma Knife check out these 3.  Number 1. Dr. Sisti at NY Presbytarian Number 2 Dr. Golfinos at NYU or #. Dr. Kondzuilka in Pittsburgh

if you are interested in Cyber Knife heck these out Dr.Haas (not sure of hospital affiliation), Dr. Chang (not sure of hospital affiliation), or Dr. Friedman of The House Instute in LA I believe all three do telephone consultations but I'm not sure send your MRI's.

Good luck on your AN journey.

If you cannot locate Haas and Chang hospital affiliation I am sure if you ask questions here, you will find them.

Perhaps, we will meet at the next symposium in LAor at a local NYC chapter ANA meeting the next one is June 9th at 1:00 pm at NYU.
