Welcome home. I think there are a few members on this board who had facial neuroma. Sorry about the headaches. Hopefully they go away & you recover nicely.

Thank goodness you did not have translab! Hope your recovery goes well. It is typically slow with an AN, and I imagine it is slow with a facial neuroma. Glad you are home.

Facial nerve schwannomas are quite rare - less than 2% of all schwannomas.  You seem to have been fortunate with your successful outcome to the surgery.  I would consider asking about radiation treatment to destroy the remaining tumor before it has a chance to grow.  However, that is a medical decision best made in conjunction with your doctors

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.
