I have had about 4 treatments with Botox. They have helped tremendously with facial pain and headaches. I am due for another set of injections very soon. The botox worked when nothing else did.

I've been getting Botox shots for synkinesis since December 2008.  Over time, I've found that a lot of the success of the shots depends on who is giving them.  Some doctors are better than others at identifying the troublemaker muscles.  I have seen a lot of success from the shots when they are coupled with physical therapy and home exercises -- to the point where my face is symetrical at rest and there isn't much in the way of odd muscle activity.  The effects of the shots seem to last three or four months.
