The vestibular system and speed of bodily action or thought

Hello;
   Other than being told to "chill" previously, I'm still looking to produce a study which shows how the vestibular system helps determine how fast a person does things or thinks and that the actions cannot be well controlled.
   Thoughts anyone? I have no peripheral vestibular system as am NF-2 but have gained a problem regulating how fast I do things and have a problem formulating cognitive deductions.
   I've read those with chronic vestibular impairment, do not experience life fully.

I am not NF2 but I have no vestibular nerve function on either side following radiation exposure as a kid and then two AN surgeries on the same side.

I definitely have a problem regulating how fast I do things and I do, on occasion, have difficulty formulating a cognitive deduction.  Now, whether this relates to my lack of vestibular nerve function or a normal aging process, I do not know.

As for experiencing life fully ..... that would be very difficult for someone to measure qualitatively because that is a subjective opinion.  My life has changed since my first AN surgery and I do things a bit differently now ..... some things I can no longer safely do, but I have added new things, as well.  Just my thoughts .....

Hi,
my balance is completely shot at the moment. 4 mth post SRS. As my ear fills up, tinnitus soars and head spins with movements, I find most activities have become confusing. My ability to concentrate and make decisions such as when I'm trying to cook a meal for example, has definitely become challenging!

You don't need a "study" to understand that having balance issues slows you down in direct proportion to the severity of the balance issues.

I agree that balance issues certainly do slow me down. Not only do I have to constantly assess the surroundings and select my path, but I realize that I am continuously evaluating subconsciously, my balance and correcting it. Does all this affect how fast I do things and think. I believe i does. How many things can my brain process at one time ?

   Thanks, everyone, for your kind replies. Clarice, you seem to identify with this well. By "experiencing life fully", I couldn't  think of a way to word exactly what I meant. Maybe I meant "awareness" of people and events. Sort of like being on a med/drug/alcohol and feeling fully what's going on around me, good, or bad?
   Arizona, yes, my degree demands a study so as to quantitatively grasp this. Thank you for your other comments, though.
   Mike; Yes, multi-tasking is no more when a person doesn't do well with a single task.
   With the speed problem, sometimes I feel like I have OCD. It's a drivenness of sorts?!
