eye pain
« on: June 23, 2012, 04:33:37 am »
Hi I  have not as yet been diagnosed with an AN but have MRI next Saturday. Whilst I am hoping my symptoms are not coming from an AN I am getting increasingly worried. Its my right ear that has some hearing loss and very bad tinnitis. I have had dizziness and disorientation but that seems to have settled down again, although it does keep recurring. This week I started with the travel sickness feeling again, yesterday I got a strange pain in the right side of my head which went quite quickly but now I have pain in my right eye. It hurts to touch and is painful at the back of the eye when I move it. I am sure its not an infection. Can I ask if eye pain is a symptom of AN? I wish I didnt have to wait any longer for this MRI I just want to know what is wrong with me!

I'm no doctor and I'm new at this AN thing.

You have a wide variety of symptoms and commenting on any or all of them would be wild speculation.

However, the eye pain you describe seems similar to the symptoms of iritis or uveitis, which I have experienced periodically for decades and is unrelated to my AN.

No way to tell if your is related to AN or not.

But you might get some symptomatic relief by seeing an opthalmologist and getting a prescription for prednisolone eye drops.

Might not help if the symptoms are AN related.
