Pam ~

I haven't undergone the BAHA implant procedure but I seem to recall reading posts from BAHA users stating that the 'numb' sensation around the implant lasted longer than six weeks.  Of course, I could be mistaken.  I'm sure some of our BAHA users will add their thoughts, soon.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Thanks for your reply.  It is worrying me a bit as it is half of the back of my head, I was left with a small numb patch from when I had my acoustic neuroma removed and the numbness seems to have spread (if that makes sense)

From what I recall, this is definitely normal.

I don't remember exactly how long my head was numb from my BAHA implant (it was over 4 years ago), but I know it was much more than 6 weeks before my head felt normal again.  Probably several months.

So, hang in there,

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways
