1-year MRI results
« on: November 13, 2012, 06:22:09 pm »
Heard from House on Friday morning.  They looked at my 1-year post-surgery MRI and did not see any sign of tumor, and my next follow-up is to get another MRI in 4 years.  4 years!

I am quite relieved and happy.  Was expecting a clean report, but it still makes such a difference to hear the words from an expert and see the picture of your own straightened brain stem.

I'd like to thank the many people on the forum who answered my questions and provided support as I was making surgery decisions and recovering.  This forum is of such value to so many.

Victoria ~

Being in a similar situation, I can appreciate your elation over your MRI results.  Congratulations on being AN-free!  ;D

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Hi Victoria,

I just recently posted my 2 year MRI anniversary.  I was rather stressed out for my 1st year, so it's great news to hear you have that 1st year clean.  Now you can relax and enjoy.

All the best,

Bob
