thanks for the reply...it looked most like the middle link but was brighter and about half that size. my husband was at the screen the entire mri and said he saw many thinks only on the bad ear side but the tech said they were blood vessels. Could there be anything else beside AN that causes unilateral hearing loss (40 db), tinnitus and imbalance (like a floating feeling at times). The tinnitus is so exhausting. I also have an intolerance to certain sounds on that side. Not sure if that is an AN symptom.
That middle link is kinda what mine looks like on my MRIs. It was 9mm x 3mm x 4 mm when I was diagnosed in April 2012 and grew to 12mm x 4mm x 4mm by October 2012.
The more you read on this forum the more you'll see that AN symptoms are all over the map.
I had tinnitus (very minor - now pretty much gone), balance issues (have had some improvement) and complete loss of hearing on my AN side but no pain or fullness like others have described.
Even a small AN could result in your symptoms.
I'm no doctor so I don't want to say for sure that you have one. But, given the symptoms and what you've seen on your MRI, I think we'll be welcoming you to the club that nobody wants to be a member of.
When you get the report, let us know.
