Sudden increase in pressure in head - eeeek!
« on: April 29, 2013, 05:38:48 pm »
I've been rumbling along in watch and wait now for about 3 years. My last MRI in January showed no growth. I decided then I wouldn't give it a second thought and get on with my life, until last night. I noticed the pressure on the left side of my head has really increased - I've always had some pressure, but this is distinctly more. I thought I'd perhaps sleep it off, but it is still with me today.

I don't really know what to do, if anything. I am thinking perhaps this is just the next stage of AN life that I'm going to have to accept (that it is now going to feel like this ad infinitum)...

Should I contact the specialist? I'd just be interested to know if anyone else has had this experience.

My AN is confined to the IAC and is 7mm x 6mm x 5mm, if I recall correctly :)

Any thoughts gratefully received, thank you!

I seem to be the only person who has experienced this!

Another question then, for those who lost their hearing prior to treatment - was that a gradual process or did you wake up one day and boof! it had gone? I ask this because I am wondering whether this is the start of a decline, and whether it is a gradual thing. Anyone's experience / description of how it happened / "felt" is much appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Jockieau! Any symptom is worth monitoring and speaking with your doctor about.  My AN is a little bigger than yours but I`m very pro active especially if I feel anything out of the ordinary. The most I`ve felt is maybe a little extra pressure when a big change in weather or bad alergy season is upon us. When this happens I increase my Vit C along with eating antioxidents and walking and breathing. I really never come to the point where my symptoms overwelmed me. Stay on top of being healthy (supplements exercise etc.) and hopefully this too will pass. Best wishes, Mickey

Hi! That is good to know. Thanks for the tips. I feel pressure all the time but sometimes a little more when I am stressed or the weather changes. I am starting to take more vitamins too.
Thanks again. :)
