One year since my surgery
« on: January 11, 2007, 02:50:14 pm »
I am fast approaching the one year anniversary of my surgery.Looking back I feel as though I was close to 100% recovered after 6 weeks although I did return to work on a part-time basis after 3 weeks. If anyone has any concerns or questions about their upcoming surgery I will be glad to share my experiance.

congrats on your milestone Block!  it must seem like yesterday (even though it wasn't) since your surgery.  "You've come a long way, baby!"

Continued wellness to you!

Congratulations!  Looking back what a journey, looking forward look how far you've come, and the lessons learned.  I am sure that it has been an amazing year.

Wishing you all the best

Yeah Block!  What type of surgery did you have an how large was your tumor?
I think the first year is the hardest!  I'm hoping my second gets easier  ;D

My surgery was translab.I had already lost all functional hearing in my right ear so the choice was easy.My hearing went bad very quickly, almost in a matter of a few days.I will get a one year MRI sometime in the next few weeks. The few weeks following the surgery sure forced me to step back and reacess everything but in the end I am glad I got it done.
