I also wore the lens white water rafting. I took along a good pair of swim goggles specifically for this activity. The tour guide thought they would fog up and diminish my enjoyment, and suggested that I sit toward the back and close my eyes during a wave. I decided that losing a $750 lens was more likely to diminish my enjoyment, and if I closed my eyes I wouldn't be totally experiencing the event either. As it turns out the goggles never fogged and I ended up overboard so it's a very good thing I opted to wear them.
