Big Improvement!

Just wanted to share some good news with those who are experiencing balance issues.  After one full year of Vestibular Rehab post GK, I am finally able to walk the dog at night without wandering all over the sidewalk or off of it!  So far I'm doing 100% better in the dark than I did last winter. The sensation of tumbling over is also gone when I bend over to pick something up, and my walking speed has increased!  I still have moments where I bump the door frame going through a room or I do a little side step if I turn to quick, but nothing as intense as what I experienced last winter.

I know there is always the possibility of balance issues returning, but for now I'm more than pleased to share how well things are progressing.

Me, too. I'm not sure that will ever go away, but I'm hoping.

Am happy to hear that your balance has improved!  Sounds like your hearing is much better too, so hope that continues.

Great news!  Gives us all something to look forward to.  I know for me, I always think how much I took for granted prior to the AN diagnosis.  As they say, sometimes you dont appreciate something till you lose it.

Life does get better, we just have to ride out the rough days to appreciate the good ones!
There definitely is a turning point (for the good) around the 1 year post GK.
