Blood Thinners, Radiation and Acoustic Neuromas

I had radiation (SRS) 2 1/2 years ago. Doing well AN wise.
Now I have been diagnosed with Chronic AFIB.
I am scared to go on any major blood thinners except baby ASA 81mg. I am also on Metoprolol ER 12.5 mg.
Any opinions about this topic? Do any of you have Chronic AFIB?

I don't think being post radiation for an AN has anything to do with Chronic AFIB. But, then, I'm not a doctor and you should be consulting with your cardiologist about the required medication. Your cardiologist can consult with your AN specialists if appropriate.

I am within a couple of weeks of being two years post Gamma Knife and I have atherosclerosis of the Left Anterior Descending artery (about 50% blockage). Scary, yes. The LAD is known as the Widow Maker. Related to AN, nope. My cardiologist put me on Lipitor to stem the tide so to speak.

If your cardiologist wants to put you on something I suggest you go along with it like I did.
