My 5 year old daughter recently had the 5-7 nerve to nerve transfer. We have noticed the eye on the paralyzed side is not closing all the way like it use to before. Also, she was able to squeeze her eye as well and there is little movement there now. We were wondering why this would happen, as we thought things can get better but not worse from the 5-7 transfer. Her doctor said that this is totally normal after 5-7 transfer and is only temporary, as it should return to normal, 100%--it will take a solid couple of weeks though, but not to worry. Also, she is complaining that sometimes it's blurry. Has anyone experience this after the 5-7 nerve transfer? If so, did it get better over time and how long did it take? Also, what are your results after the surgery and how long did it take until you noticed a change? Any feedback is appreciated.
