Hi Donaji,
I totally understand your symptoms!  The dizziness and balance issues are the worst for me.  Maybe the neurologist can give you some tips on how to ease the dizziness or I guess it's possible that your tumor is located in such a way that it is affecting your vestibular nerve more than anything.  I'm sure if your not wanting to wait until it gets bigger, treatment will be offered. 
I'm so new to this though, so perhaps someone who has been on this journey longer will have some better advice!

I am new to this. On the 9th May 2016 I suddenly lost my hearing in my right ear, I shortly after got a cold and assume it was all connected, the GP gave me Antibiotics, but this didn't help and I have also been having non-stop ringing in the ear that lost its hearing. After countless trips to the GP, I was finally referred to an ENT specialist. They did a few hearing tests and said I have nerve damage ( I don't understand how they can confirm that from a few hearing tests) they have referred me for a MRI scan to see if its a growth growing on the end of the nerve something like that. God knows how long that is going to take seeing as I only saw the ENT spec this week.... waited from May to Oct to get seen 


anyways I just wanted to know if always feeling tired and having constant naps is a symptom of AN? I'm 23 and before I lost my hearing I would say I was quite energetic. Now I literally have to lie down and nap for a few hours almost every day. I feel sick and dizzy all the time. This is making it impossible for me to do my uni work and I am in my third and final year! I also work part time as well and my manager has noticed that I'm a lot quieter and always cold. I even bought a small blanket to wrap myself in whilst i am at my desk at work. Can some one shed some light on the symptoms apart from the constant ringing and loss of hearing.

The main thing is to get the MRI and get the results.  Until then you are just guessing, and you can drive yourself crazy doing that.  Did you get the MRI yet?

Hi!! . I am just afraid because I heard that if the ANA is this small they don't do anything about them, they just watch. Need advice.

Donaji,
I would not worry about them not treating due to size.  In the end, it's really your decision to evaluate what the doctor(s) say and make your choice.  Wait and watch is often an option with smaller tumors, as long as there is not some other reason to treat immediately.  I have also heard of tumors your size being operated on.  And there is radiosurgery, which is more common with smaller tumors.  I suggest you research the different options before you see doctors, then you will be able to ask better questions.  And it can be good to see several doctors.  The thing to do is talk to doctors with substantial experience and a great track record.  AN is pretty rare, so it pays to make sure the doctor has a lot of experience with AN.
