Runny nose
« on: February 05, 2017, 05:12:36 am »
I am 1 year and 3 months post op. For the first time since my surgery I took a yoga class. During the whole class my nose was VERY runny. I am hoping it is late for a CSF leak and it is just allergies causing my nose to run when my head is in a down position. Does anyone out there know if you can get a CSF leak so far past surgery?

Many of us get a runny nose when active or too warm.   I am guess this is probably what you have.      A leak would show up if you set with head bent over for several minutes and there was a drip drip drip like a faucet.        Due to NF2 and surgery on both sides I get the runny nose on one side when active and warm and on the other when eat as eye waters and nose may run.
Puffs are friend also keep some close.,        Keep a watch on this and talk to dr if feel need to.                Cheryl R

:) Thank-you! It DOES seem like if there was going to be a leak it would have happened long before now.

Thanks so much for this post. I am 10 months post surgery and noticed whenever I eat my nose is runny only on surgery side. Just part of the new normal I guess--congestion diversification, always one side clear.

I'll be trying yoga one more time on Saturday. It did drip last time-maybe it will be more normal this time (or maybe not). Everyday an adventure.
