Rest In Peace Mei Mei
« on: July 01, 2017, 01:03:28 pm »
With great sadness, I am sharing the death of an active member of this forum and an extraordinary woman, Seroun Mei Mei Wang.  Mei Mei passed away earlier this week.  She was so full of life and dealt with her many issues with courage and perseverance.  Some of these issues were related to her AN treatment.  She was one of a kind, a loyal and dedicated friend to our community.   I feel so fortunate to have known her, and hope that she knew how much she meant to us.
Husband diagnosed 5/30/09 with 3.2cm right AN
Surgery at  Columbia Presbyterian 8/4/09
Platinum eye weight implant - 8/17/09
17 days in hospital and rehab
SSD, facial weakness, some tinnitus, headaches , balance and eye problems

Thanks for that sad update Mandy,, I'm sure there are many of us still on here who will remember Mei Mei and her commitment to this community. She did have her health issues but forged ahead bravely ,

It is truly sad,, I have missed her posting lately and wondered about her,,,

Mandy,  Thanks for letting us know about Mei Mei.  I remember reading lots of her posts over the years, she seemed like a very sweet lady.  Jill Marie

During the many months researching through my decision process, I read quite a few posts from Mei Mei.  Seemed to me she was one of the "regulars" who contributed for the benefit of others.  I am very sorry to hear this news.  But I thank her for all she contributed, which was alot.  I will always remember that she posted with honesty and insight.  Rest in peace, Mei Mei.
Dx 2.6 cm Nov 2012, 35% hearing loss.  Grew to 3.5 cm Oct 2013.  Pre-op total hearing loss, left side tongue numb.  Translab Nov 2013 House Clinic.  Post-op no permanent facial or other issues.  Tongue much improved.  Great result!!
