balance problems, 7 weeks post-op, disability

I'm finally able to post on this site!  Really need to hear from others who've been thru this.  7 weeks post-op, plagued with severe dizziness, fatigue and depression.  Doc said I should have been able to go back to work part time after 4 weeks, no way.  Lost my job, have a new one coming up but afraid I won't be able to manage it.  Has anyone successfully applied for disability?  I would also love to do live chat--has that been created yet by anyone?

Not to discourage you but........its been almost 10 months since my surgery and i still can't walk straight! My doctor also told me 2 months.  The that turned into 6 months to a year.  I'm now praying to be able to function in a year.  I am getting social security disability now which helps.  But it was a long process.  I  would also like a live chat room.  Still waiting to hear.  Good luck!!!!
