Questions on post Radiosurgery
« on: November 08, 2018, 07:43:14 am »
I was wondering if anyone could advise me on what kind of side effects are likely with 5 treatments of Stereotactic radiation after translab surgery (15 months later)? I know what "could" happen of course, but wondering if they are the norm? I am 1 month out and the swelling must have started because my balance is worse which surprised me since I do not have a balance nerve on that side anymore since the Translab surgery? The other symptom so far is my 5th cranial nerve has been compromised since my poor nose is so dry it is bleeding and my eye is very dry again. I have not had tears since the Translab either, but the dryness had improved.

So, I am wondering how the swelling is going to impact my life as the months roll on. My understanding from reading is that it will increase for a year or two? I am trying to get a sense of what to expect.

Thanks,
