I know Friedman and Schwartz are the number 1 choice but is there another team that’s highly recommended as well? I’m on the east coast and have seen Drs at Mass General and Mass Eye and Ear. Just curious if there are other “teams” that come close to Friedman and Schwartz. Thank you!

For something this serious, I was prepared to fly wherever I needed to. I think it matters to stick with the best no matter their location.
Diagnosed 1.5cm x .08cm x 1.1cm AN right ear 5/2018
Total hearing loss in right ear at 5/2018 and significant balance issues.
Translab surgery Friedman and Schwartz UCSD 7/18/18
80% tumor removal due to facial nerve adhesion
Balance issues solved, no facial nerve issues.

I had surgery at Mass General and had Drs Barker and McKenna.  They were a great team.  I was happy as I could be with the outcome.

That is for surgery. For radiation, Lunsford at Pittsburgh (Gamma Knife) and Chang at Stanford (Cyber Knife). Both are acoustic neuroma centers.

My brother just had AN surgery in Israel 4 days ago, performed by Dr. Sergey Spektor, who is a highly skilled surgeon and came highly recommended. We did a lot of research on him before we decided to go with him. He speaks Hebrew, English, and Russian.
