Sound sensitivity/ Bose HEARphones
« on: January 04, 2019, 06:02:16 am »
Diagnosed in October 2018 with 1.2 mm. I have most of the usual symptoms including the most
Concerning which is sound sensitivity. I am an electrician in a mostly noisy environment and when noise increases even slightly I get sinus swelling and dizzy. Socializing and group conversations are impossible to handle and even just normal kitchen noise, shower noise crunching paper sounds hurt.
Has anyone experienced this and how are you dealing with it?
Has anyone tried the Bose HEARPHONES as they are advertised to to aid this exact problem?

Dear Johny,
You are describing what sounds like hyperacusis. ANA has a list of volunteers who you can contact and one of those is Neil Donnenfeld who does use headphones, although I am not sure which model. Here is his information:
NEIL   DONNENFEL    617 285-0579   ndonnenfeld@gmail.com Proton Beam, Tinnitus, hyperacusis, synkinesis, eye issues
Feel free to reach out to him! If you want the full list and more information, you can reach out to us at ANAUSA.org.
Best wishes,
