Hello Friendly People,
Quick update on my cyberknife treatment at Stanford done 5 years ago.
Well, just under 5 years. I requested to be scanned early due to my insurance plan changing 2019.
12/14/2018 I went in for an MRI. I am allergic to the contrast gadolinium so I had to pre-medicate with Prednisone and Benadryl.
Turns out the pre-meds didn't work and I had an allergic reaction. Small hive on the forearm and a tingling in my throat.
Few hours later I met with Dr Steven Chang, he reviewed my scans and has concluded no change, same size as 2 years ago, 11x6x5. We discussed the reaction from the contrast and told me I wouldnt need it any longer, he could see the tumor well enough without it.
My hearing has diminished a bit and have ok word recognition. My Audiologist says I would benefit from a hearing aid. I'm considering it. Tinnitus is always there, mostly at a soft/low, high pitch whine. It gets louder when i'm stressed, have a cold and or when weather moves in.
Sometimes it really screams!
All in all it was a good day with good results.
Thanks,
kejac
