Watch and Wait for Over Eight Years
« on: January 02, 2020, 09:04:47 pm »
Hi, I have good news, my AN remains stable at a bit less than 2MM.  See my signature for more info. My sister had a 3MM AN (yes 3MM AN) that caused disabling balance symptoms and I had some balance issues when mine edged over 2MM.  I don't think too much about it now. The only thing that I have kept doing is minimizing dental xrays. I have done bitewings in the past year, but I'm not doing the panoramic.  I can't prove anything but my AN edged over 2MM a bit after having panoramic in 2011.  And my sister checked her dental records and her AN symptoms increased after a panoramic, then they found her AN.  Again we can't prove anything.  Could be a coincidence.  As for my tinnitus, it's still here, I just live with it, it could be worse.
Sister 3MM surgically removed 11/2001.
Me - Tinnitus Jan 2011. MRI April 2011 almost 2MM AN.  Symptoms increased June 2011; MRI over 2MM AN July 2011. July 2012 MRI: AN now 2 MM which ties to symptom decline. July 2013 MRI: barely 2MM Aug 2015: STABLE Aug 2017: STABLE Oct 2019: STABLE!

I'm also highly suspicious of dental x-rays.

Congrats on the stability.

I have thought dental xrays from time to time, but then wonder why ANs are typically on just  one side vs two. Dental x-rays are against both sides. Same for the mobile phone theory (my AN was NOT on the side where I hold the phone up to my ear).

I am NOT a doctor / researcher / etc of course!

If dental x-rays were the cause, it makes sense to only affect one side. This would be because it only provides a chance of an AN. If x-rays were certain to cause ANs there would be ANs for most people that have x-rays and on both sides.

Hope the though got through my poor explanation.

Hi Gale, in my opinion, I am 100% positive that a malicious dentist caused my AN. He kept doing x-ray after x-ray with an antiquated skull-cap x-ray machine that went around and around. I recall asking him: "Why so many of these skull-cap X-rays?" I wish there was some way of proving it and sue this low life. The dental agencies cover up for their crooks at all costs because the dentists pay for their protection, just like the Mafia in 1920 New York.. The patient is always wrong, the dentist is always right, even if the dentist puts the patients life in jeopardy, they don't care. Patients are just a statistic.
