Travel to Brazil After Surgery
« on: June 17, 2013, 09:00:53 am »
I am  newly diagnosed with AN and have chosen to travel to the House Clinic in Los Angeles, instead of having my surgery , here in Rio de Janeiro. Is there anyone who has had a long travel distance after surgery who can tell me how long they waited to return home? Do they wish they waited longer. Thank you, Paul

Hi Paul

I am currently at HEI just released from the Hospital today. I am staying at Seton guest center until
Friday July 5. I arrived last Sunday from Reno NV obviously not as far as you are coming from but basically I planned on a 2 week stay. I have my post op appointments on Wednesday July 3 one week from from the surgery.I believe that is pretty standard here according to what most people mention on the board. I am very happy with my surgery and Dr Lekovic Dr Friedman and Dr Stevan. Best Wishes and God Bless on you up and coming Surgery. I hope this helped
Steve

How was the experience for you? Did you end up doing it again afterwards? I tried it too, but this time I added the Comfort Pass https://comfortpass.travel/ to my routine. The Comfort Pass was a nice little upgrade to what I usually do. It didn't revolutionize my entire experience, but it definitely added a layer of comfort that made a difference. Sometimes, it's those small, thoughtful touches that really enhance the overall experience.
