Carmen's Tumor is gone - Now a postie
« on: June 01, 2007, 12:24:28 am »
Hi Everyone.
Well, I had my tumor removed on the 23rd.  Everything went well.  The facial nerve was left intact.  I had the surgery on Wed and went home on Sunday.  Now here we are toward the end of the week and I am feeling unexpectedly pretty good.
My acoustic nerve was stretched by the tumor, but there is supposedly good blood supply still, so I am still hopeful that the hearing may return.  Only time will tell.

I have no real headaches to speak of, just the aching neck at the incision site.  I am still taking the pain meds.  Also, I have slept alot this week.  Strangely though, I can't sleep tonight...

Just wanted to let everyone know the new.
Carmen

Hey Carman,

Congratulations for being a postie. I hope everything will go well with you. Just curious, who was your neurosurgeon? Was he Dr. Day? My surgery was done by Dr. Muckle and Dr. Day. They were great..
