Sinus drainage post treatment
« on: June 29, 2007, 01:23:19 pm »
I am 6 months post treatment.
Has anyone ran into excessive sinus drainage when doing physical work on their AN side?
This only seems to happen when I am doing physical work, but not when I am sitting around.
I am thinking that this may be the facial nerve healing process?

Thanks,
Kenn A.

what’s the consistency? Do you have a head ache occur when it happens? does it occur when you are bent over?

Oh yes, I've had AN side drainage for most of the time since 6 months post op.  It is lessening slowly.  I am almost 19 months post op.  The consistency is like tears fluid. I definitely relate the drainage to the facial nerve healing.  I have it when I do lots of physical work, and when I chew lots of food. I've had very few headaches like sinus ones.  I've only taken an ibuprophen tablet three or four times for headache, mild headaches at that.

The drainage is excessive when it occurs, and stops after eating or the work session.  I used to keep a Keenex in my lap at the dinner table.  When I am in a restaurant I'd wipe my upper lip and blot my nostril once in a while.   ::) Didn't eat out much with anyone but family anyway.
