Tears
« on: March 08, 2008, 04:20:49 pm »
I was just wondering how long after AN surgery does the eye on that side start producing tears.  I don't have any permanent facial issues and I'm getting a good blink after almost 11 months, but that eye is just so dry all of the time.

Hey Catflower

I'm three months post-surgery and have facial palsy but from what I recall, my eye was tearing about a month post surgery.  I can't close my eye, but I do get tears.  I'm thinking there isn't anything consistant in all this.  Have you seen an opthomologist?  I've been seeing one since my eye won't close and he's been good at answering questions.

Best wishes
David
