Hi Clifton:  My docs had me taking Zantac 150 mg twice daily while on the other meds.  I think the sprite is probably adding to the problem also.  Maybe give the docs a call tomorrow just to be on the safe side.   Always good thoughts,  Nancy

The one tummy pill you are on is Pepcid.    Sometimes one just needs to change stomach pills as you may have better results with a different one.         The Vicodon  (hydrocodone) pain med could be part of the problem as well as so much Sprite.

Clifton, take the valtrex until it is gone.  If you ever in your lifetime had a cold sore you could have the Herpes 1 virus in your facial nerves.  If this virus decides to become active you could have a little setback dealing with the nerve recovery.  It is oral herpes 1 and it causes Bell's Palsy symptoms.

My doctor prescribed it for me too.  He does this routinely for An surgeries.

Tip on the acid burn..sit up for at least half hour after eating, or after drinking carbonated drinks.  Clear water is much better for you right now.

Yikes Clifton, Easy on the sprite, dude! Hydrocodone is really hard on the tummy, it gave me an ulcer, add to that the nasty acids thay put in Sprite (read the contents on the can sometime) and you've got an ulcer in the making. Sounds like you are already having acid reflux. My ulcer is a permanent condition now as a direct result of mediication that I took for years of headaches until I found the right docs and meds. Most sodas are now off limits for me as are a lot of stuff like ibuprofen and aleve.

Clifton,

That hydrocodine is 'groovy" stuff, isn't it. It's no wonder people get addicted. It's also way cheap. My nexium for my stomach costs a fortune. Capt. Deb is right. The Dr.'s reccommended that I take something like pepsid with the pain killers. I was already on the nexium so it all worked out.

I drank gallons of Gatoraid after my surgery...I just kicked that habit a few weeks ago.
Hope your stomach feels better...
